Glasgow Science Centre has launched a new Corporate Events programme. Science of Whisky celebrates something deeply and intrinsically Scottish in a thoroughly modern, unconventional and different way. Guests will be able to enjoy interactive whisky stalls and informal whisky sessions ranging from delicate light and floral Highland malts with instant appeal to those first trying whisky, through to robust and passionate West Coast malts redolent of the islands and seas where they were crafted. During dinner, guests will also be able to learn about Whisky from a unique perspective, as well as tasting and exploring few drams for themselves.

Our ‘Science of Whisky’ dinner events offers guests the chance to learn about ‘the water of life’ from a unique perspective as well as tasting and exploring the joys of a dram for themselves.
The science behind the subtle craftsmanship needed to deliver the aromas, colours and flavours is as deep and complex as a fine malt itself. Guests will be able to enjoy a delectable dining experience, explore the science behind the nations tipple with drams of sumptuous amber nectar whilst supporting the Glasgow Science Centre’s charitable mission.”
Whisky can arguably be described as one of the world’s greatest drinks. Science is involved at every stage of the whisky production process ensuring incredible aromas and flavours enjoyed by Scotch lovers all around the world.
The ‘Science of Whisky’ Dinner includes:
• Exclusive hire of the venue
• Piper to pipe on arrival
• ½ hour drinks reception
• 3 course meal and drinks including 6 drams across the evening
• 1 hour after-dinner entertainment
Each aspect of the dinner events has been carefully crafted to be intrinsically Scottish to celebrate the nation’s tipple. Ingredients of Whisky are unique to Scotland- the golden barley, pure crisp water and thick earthy peat from the moors- and as such, the menu at the Science of Whisky dinners will also have a Scottish theme. Diners will feast on the best of Scottish ingredients including ‘blood orange and salt flake cured salmon’ and ‘roast rump of lamb’.
