The Future and Me! Living in tomorrow’s world (P6-S2) FREE Event

BBC Scotland Learning is hosting a day of events and activities with Glasgow Science Centre on Monday 8th May, which will be looking at the future. There will be an hour-long interactive talk streamed live with the top scientists in Scotland to explore areas around robots, medicine and energy.

Pupils will also have the opportunity to engage with interactive demonstrations and take part in either a Planetarium show (The Solar System) or a Live Science show (Future Fuels). Pupils will then be tasked to think about ‘how will I be living in the future?’ and send their ideas to BBC Scotland. The best of these will be made into a film for later in the year to showcase as part of the BBC’s season of science.

The talks are presented by Dallas Campbell and will feature Prof Sethu Vijayakumar from BBC Robot Wars, Prof Lesley Yellowlees, who was the first ever female President of the Royal Society of Chemistry, and geneticist Prof Kevin O’Dell from Glasgow University. This is a free event for schools and takes place within Glasgow Science Centre.

Contact our bookings team for more information on 0141 420 5003.
