Whilst we are happy to help as best we can with public enquiries and continue to manage education bookings, the day-to-day operation of the IMAX is now the responsibility of Cineworld. You can book tickets by visiting 

Educational Film Screenings

Experience an incredible IMAX 3D journey by taking in an education film as part of your visit to Glasgow Science Centre. The current education films on screen are 'Hidden Universe 3D', 'Space Station 3D', 'Under The Sea 3D', 'To The Arctic 3D', 'Born To Be Wild 3D', 'Galapagos 3D' and Island of Lemurs: Madagascar.

Schools, you may be able to choose which IMAX education films you come to see with an 'On-Demand' performance. Certain conditions and restrictions on availability apply. For more details, give the contact centre a call on 0141 420 5000.

School groups can pre-book tickets for an educational film as part of a visit to Glasgow Science Centre by calling 0141 420 5000 during office hours.

For all other groups, tickets can be purchased on the day of your visit as an 'Add-on' to Glasgow Science Centre's Science Mall tickets. View Glasgow Science Centre's opening hours and ticket prices.

Educators: inspire your class before they see the movie, Interstellar with a set of activities from the makers of the film - explore and investigate scientific, mathematic, and humanitarian concepts of a changing world that will challenge students’ understandings and beliefs and encourage them to think deeply about things they may never have thought of until this point.

Add-ons to visit an IMAX Education (45 minute) film or a Feature film

  • Add-on tickets to an Education film cost £2.50 (Adult/Child/Concession) each.
