Carbon neutral
Glasgow Science Centre aims to maximise sustainability across all our business operations, prioritising the areas of waste, water, energy, procurement and travel to work towards a completely circular economy.
To date, we have reduced energy consumption by 25% through switching our lighting system to LEDs and better monitoring of usage. Food and drink served in our café is locally sourced to reduce the carbon footprint and all food packaging is now recyclable.
Through our ongoing capital works, we will be installing electric vehicle units onsite, updating our building management system and are in the process of repairing our roof and glazing to improve heat efficiency.
