Glasgow Science Centre Car Park operating information
Parking at Glasgow Science Centre costs £4 a day for visitors to the Science Centre.

On arrival and departure, school coaches are invited to use our pick up and drop off area on the roadside in front of the main building for a maximum of 5 minutes. School coaches are required to use our nearby free coach parking outwith these times to avoid congestion (access code required).
Are there Electric Vehicle (EV) charging points?
Electric Vehicle (EV) charging points are available in the car park at Glasgow Science Centre.
Please note that standard Car Parking charges apply.
The dual chargers, capable of charging six vehicles at a time, are enabled and controlled via the ScottishPower Recharge App. The charging rates are in line with ScottishPower’s UK charging model.
I'm a Science Centre Visitor. Where do I pay for parking?
Parking at Glasgow Science Centre costs £4 a day for visitors to the Science Centre.
Show your car park ticket at the Science Centre Ticket Desk in the main building to benefit from this rate.
Please note that the pay station in the car park can not be used to get this visitor rate.
I'm coming to the Metallica Pop-Up Shop. How much will I pay to park?
If you are using the car park to attend the Metallica Pop-Up Shop on 24, 25 and 26 June 2026 at Glasgow Science Centre you will pay our standard Non-Science Centre Visitor car park rate of £5.00 for up to 1-hour, £9.50 for 1-12 hours, and £20 for 12-24 hours.

Can I park my campervan or motorhome at Glasgow Science Centre?
Campervans and motorhomes often use the car park at Glasgow Science Centre for overnight stays. We welcome respectful campers to our car park.

After 24 hours has elapsed, there is an automatic additional charge of £20. £20 is automatically added after each 24-hour period.
Non-science centre visitors car park prepayment instructions
Car park users attending evening events around the local area can prepay for parking in advance by following the instructions below:
- Scan ticket at pay station
- Select Pre-Paid ticket
- Select up to 12 hours by pressing the + hour button, to allow plenty of time to exit
- Select pay
- Follow payment instructions
- Go to exit barriers and scan ticket to exit
