This page outlines terms and conditions for competitions run by Glasgow Science Centre.

Current competitions

To celebrate our amazing milestone of 6 million visitors to Glasgow Science Centre, this September we have a Golden Ticket Adventure with spot prizes being given away on the weekends, and we have pulled together an awesome 'Out-Of-This-World Prize Bundle' for all visitors to enter.

Golden Ticket Adventure

Visitors to the Science Centre on weekends between 7 - 22 September 2024 (7th/8th, 14th/15th and 21st/22nd September) will be in with a chance of grabbing one of our Golden Tickets to receive a spot prize. Golden Ticket spot prizes range from a family day ticket to vouchers to spend in our cafe or shop, tickets for our Halloween Party, a Newton Flight Academy experience, and delicious cupcakes!

They are non-transferable and have no cash alternative. Terms and Conditions may apply to individual prizes.

'Out-Of-This-World' Prize Bundle

Visitors will also get the chance to enter to win our 'Out-Of-This-World Prize Bundle' including a year's membership to the science centre, an overnight stay at the Crowne Plaza Glasgow Hotel, tickets to Tim Peake's show at the SEC on 27 September, a Meet and Greet after the show, a signed copy of his book and 4 tickets to our family Halloween Party on 25 October.

Entry to the competition requires sign-up our free Science Messenger newsletter using the QR displayed in the science centre during your visit.

• Glasgow Science Centre Membership - Science Passports can be used by the named passport holder(s) only and are not valid until the passport holder’s photograph has been added to their membership account. This will be done in the centre the first time the membership is used. Science passports entitle the holder to free admission to the Science Mall at GSC during advertised standard operating hours. Passport use may be restricted on particular days. Science Passport holders are not entitled to free entry or discounts on entry to special events. 
• A family room at the Crowne Plaza Glasgow consists of 2 double beds and is for 2 adults and 2 children (up to 12yrs of age). Strictly subject to availability. 
• 4 Tickets to Tim Peake's show 'Astronauts - The Quest To Explore Space' at the SEC on Friday 27 September 2024. Includes the opportunity for a Meet and Greet with Tim at the end of the show. Winners will be asked to participate in some photos for promotion. 
• Prize elements are non-transferable and have no cash alternative.
• The competition closes at 5pm, 22 September 2024. Winners will be notified within 24hrs by email.
