Workshops & Activities

'Dino Dig' (Floor 1 – most suitable for 7 and under)

Step into the shoes of a Paleontologist, grab your tools and dig into the prehistoric past to uncover hidden treasure.

'Skull Sleuths' (Floor 2 – suitable for all ages)

Dust off your detective skills, study animal skulls, and piece together clues to discover their diets and roles in the wild.

'Cast a Fossil' (The Lab – most suitable for 8 and over)

Investigate ammonite and discover their significance in understanding Earth’s history. Create your very own fossil to take home – a keepsake 65 million years in the making!

'Dino Balloon Adventure' (suitable for all ages)

Life finds a way of working out our balloon trail puzzle! Join the Dino Balloon Adventure and uncover prehistoric surprises throughout the science centre with your family!

Science Show Theatre

Turn up the heat with our sizzling science show, 'Flame On!' Learn the secrets of fire and how can we make sure to use this fiery force of nature safely.

 We'll explore a stellar nursery where baby stars were born millions of years ago, uncover our place within the solar system, and take a closer look at the darkness of our own night sky. Just look up and let the journey begin!

'Flying Monsters 3D' - Join Sir David Attenborough on a pter-iffic adventure into the world of pterosaurs; prehistoric flying reptiles with wingspans as wide as modern jet planes! Discover how they took flight and why they vanished.
