Free Learning Experiences For Second Level Pupils
Learning Lab from Glasgow Science Centre
Learning Lab is a learning programme which takes place in the classroom, at home and at Glasgow Science Centre. By booking for your class to take part you will receive:
- A free visit to Glasgow Science Centre in April, May or June 2023
- Lesson plans and video content to support pupils learning of your chosen topic in class
- Twilight professional learning session to introduce you to the topic and resources
- Homework activities to support family learning.

Our Amazing Air - Exploring how we can improve air quality to protect the future of our planet
Supporting learners to investigate what air is and why it is so important,what air pollution is and how we monitor it and how air quality can be improved. Make your own air pollution catcher, grow plants in a terrarium and meet an air quality scientist! Hands-on activities support outcomes in Planet Earth, Health & Wellbeing, and Numeracy and Literacy. Powering the Future - Exploring the future of energy
Through investigation of renewables technologies and the pathway to net zero, pupils will discover opportunities in the energy sector and explore how their skills could change the world.Make your own working gears, run a hydrogen race, and investigate how we heat our homes by melting ice cubes! Activities support second level experiences and outcomes in Sciences, Technologies and Social Studies. CLPL Date: 25th April at 1600

To register for any of the above Learning Labs please complete the form here.
When your form is complete we will contact you to give you access to the resources and arrange your visit. At this stage we will also allocate any funding you are entitled to, to support with the cost of transport. You arrange your own trasnport and we will pay the funding to support with the cost directly to your school. Free places and transport funding are limited so please register as soon as possible.
