Meet the team

Amy's Bio

"Hello, I'm Amy! I'm the Senior Learning Coordinator for the amazing team that we have here. I started at GSC as a volunteer in 2015 and I quickly realised this is the place for me. I've held a variety of roles, but in every one I've been driven by a passion for making STEM accessible to all.

I'm so lucky to work with colleagues who are enthusiastic, empathetic and engaging every single day. The experiences they create for our community members are not only making lasting memories, but also empowering those individuals to feel like STEM is for them."

“Hi, I'm Sheena, I’m part of the Community Learning team at Glasgow Science Centre and work as a Science Learning Coordinator. People who work here are passionate about science and learning and I get to collaborate with lots of my lovely colleagues on interesting projects.

In the community team we are lucky to be meeting, partnering, and working with different local communities, groups and organisations every single day. The best part is seeing the positive impact of our involvement and supporting people in their STEM learning, which helps with confidence building too. I love my job, every day is different!”

Alicia's Bio

A photo of Alicia

"Hi, I'm Alicia, and I am part of the Community Learning team at Glasgow Science Centre as a Community Learning Coordinator. I am originally from California, but moved to Scotland in 2014 for University. I have found Glasgow to be such a welcoming and community-driven city, where it is easy to strike up a conversation with nearly anyone.

I love working at Glasgow Science Centre as it gives me the opportunity to meet new people daily, interact with enthusiastic groups, and get involved in fun, and sometimes silly, projects. As someone who does not have a background in science, I personally enjoy the opportunity to learn new fascinating facts every day."
