School Visits - September 2024

A school visit to Glasgow Science Centre includes one activity for £6, or for an extra £3 per pupil, you can book two. All activities are subject to availability. The activities running in September 2024 are:


Early Level - Nursery - Primary 1 

Planetarium - Space and Back Again

Not available from 2 - 15 September

Live astronomer-led planetarium show: Young pupils are invited to ‘stay up past your bedtime’ and explore a beautiful star-filled night. They’ll learn about the daily patterns of the sky before visiting the spectacular Sun and Moon up close.

First Level - Primary 2 - Primary 4

IMAX - Animal Kingdom 3D

NEW! Journey across planet Earth as we meet the mightiest families in the Animal Kingdom and find out how they keep the planet working as it should. Take flight with the birds, get busy with the insects, dive into oceans and coral reefs, meet reptiles and amphibians and get moving with mammals in this exciting 3D adventure. (Primary 2 & 3 only)

Planetarium - Into Space

Live astronomer-led planetarium show: Your students will leave Earth and take a trip Into Space to answer some big questions: Why does the Moon change shape? Why do we have day and night? And what causes the seasons?

Live astronomer-led planetarium show: View the universe in a new light as you voyage beyond the solar system, into the galaxy we call home. Discover what makes a planet a planet and join the search for Earth-like exoplanets orbiting distant stars.

IMAX - Fungi: Web of Life 3D

NEW! Much of life on Earth is connected by a vast, hidden network that we are only just beginning to understand. Out of sight, between the world of plants and animals, another world exists - the kingdom of fungi. Join biologist and writer Merlin Sheldrake in search of solutions to some of our planet’s biggest challenges. Can the answers be found in the wonderful world of fungi?
