Meet the team
Sally's Bio
“Well hello, nice to e-meet you! I lead the community learning team at Glasgow Science Centre. We might have the best job in the whole world, every day we meet lots of amazing people and talk to them about all things science!
Science is how we discover what’s in our universe and how things work. The best part of our role is helping people to better understand the world around them in fun and creative ways.”
Sheena's Bio
“Hi, I'm Sheena, I’m part of the Community Learning team at Glasgow Science Centre and work as a Science Learning Coordinator. People who work here are passionate about science and learning and I get to collaborate with lots of my lovely colleagues on interesting projects.
In the community team we are lucky to be meeting, partnering, and working with different local communities, groups and organisations every single day. The best part is seeing the positive impact of our involvement and supporting people in their STEM learning, which helps with confidence building too. I love my job, every day is different!”
Jess's Bio
"Hi I'm Jess, and I'm part of the Community, Learning and Development team at Glasgow Science Centre as a Science Learning Coordinator. I'm originally from Melbourne, Australia but moved to Glasgow in 2018 and love meeting new groups and hearing your stories of Glasgow and Scotland.
Science is absolutely everywhere; from a little pond, to finding the precise time it takes to toast a slice of bread. The best part of working at the Science Centre is creating fun and exciting ways to explore this science together."
Alicia's Bio
Hi, I'm Alicia, and I am part of the Community, Learning and Development team at Glasgow Science Centre as a Science Communicator. I am originally from California, but moved to Scotland in 2014 for University. I have found Glasgow to be such a welcoming and community-driven city, where it is easy to strike up a conversation with nearly anyone.
I love working at Glasgow Science Centre as it gives me the opportunity to meet new people daily, interact with enthusiastic groups, and get involved in fun, and sometimes silly, projects. As someone who does not have a background in science, I personally enjoy the opportunity to learn new fascinating facts every day.
