Science Show Theatre
Hop in and enjoy ‘The Pure Random Science Show’ featuring some of our favourite experiments. But here’s the twist; even our science communicators have no clue which ones are up next! Thanks to our giant spinning wheel, every show is unpredictable – it really is Pure Random!

Workshops & Activities
‘Arms in Action’
Visit the Design Studio on floor 2 to explore the world of prosthetics in our Meet the Expert activity. Engage in challenges using a body-powered prosthetic arm and delve into the engineering behind these devices with Strathclyde University National Centre for Prosthetics and Orthotics.
‘Egg Drop Challenge’
Activate your creative and critical thinking skills as you design and build a protective pod for a precious cargo – an egg! Launch it from a great height and find out if your egg survives...or splats!
‘Pollinator Trail’
Become a bee and buzz your way around the science centre searching for each of the flowers. Find them all and claim a prize that'll give a helping hand to your local bees.
Floating Wetlands Tour
On the canting basin, our floating wetlands provide a new habitat for many local wildlife. Swans, seals, otters and even kingfishers have been spotted. Join our knowledgeable front-of-house team on a free tour...who knows what wildlife you may see! Tour scheduled to be confirmed – ask for details at the ticket desk on arrival.
