This summer, go beyond the ordinary at Glasgow Science Centre! Bring the whole family for an adventure-filled day of hands-on exhibits, fun workshops, and exciting shows. There's something to ignite curiosity and inspire wonder in everyone!

Get ready for "Wow!", "Whaaat?", and "Whoa!" with a stellar line-up of exciting new discoveries waiting to be explored. We have an all-new science show that will take your breath away, a thrilling new space adventure in The Planetarium, and a jaw-dropping new 3D IMAX mini-blockbuster to dive into.

We're open every day from 10:00 – 17:00.

Science Mall

Explore three floors and over 300 engaging exhibits of interactive wonder, featuring touch screens to tap, buttons to bash, and gears to grind – there's hands-on excitement around every corner!

Crack the Code of the Corncrake! ️‍ Become a detective in the RSPB's 'Operation Broken Feather' exhibition▴. Learn about the elusive corncrake and how their biodiverse habitats are being supported.

Bats Take Flight!  Unmask the secrets of vampire bats in our 'Vampire Bats Going Viral' exhibition. Get hands-on with a model vampire bat, explore the research journey from Peru's caves to Glasgow's labs, and help stop an outbreak in its tracks!

Seeing the Invisible

See the Unseen! Investigate the fascinating world of infrared light and use thermal imaging to uncover the secret world around you. Suitable for 8+

Get the whole family active with Science! Discover your unique abilities and put your skills to the test with BodyWorks challenges. 

Science Mall 'Energy Trail'

Hunt for the letters hidden among some of our exhibits to create the secret password. Find them all and claim a prize! Best suited to 7+

Science Show Theatre

Breathe in our brand-new show for summer 2024: ‘Our Amazing Air’. Using the coolest demonstrations, we explore the invisible gases that support life on this planet and how air quality can be improved. The whole family will be blown away!

The Planetarium

Enjoy one of our live presenter-led star shows or full-dome animated films including our all-new ‘The Great Solar System Adventure’.  Join "The Great Schiaparelli" on a thrilling expedition through the planets. Explore the wonders and perils of our Solar System in this immersive adventure.

*Please note: The Planetarium will be CLOSED for scheduled maintenance on 8 and 9 July and will reopen from 13:00 on 10 July.

IMAX

Journey around the globe to discover some of the world’s many fascinating creatures in Animal Kingdom 3D or jump in the flow of an ocean current with a baby humpback whale in Ocean Odyssey *New for summer 2024*

Newton Flight Academy

Home to Scotland’s only full-motion flight simulators, Newton Flight Academy offers you the chance to take off to a destination of your choice...without leaving the ground!

This (30-minute) experience allows up to two budding pilots to take control of a light aircraft under the reassuring guidance of our flight instructors.

*Newton Flight Academy tickets do not include day entry to Glasgow Science Centre. If you would like to visit before or after your flight simulator experience, please click "continue shopping" after adding the Flight Academy experience to your basket to add Day Tickets.

Glasgow Tower

Go Beyond the skyline this summer with a trip up the Glasgow Tower and enjoy unrivalled views of the vibrant city in the sunshine!

Tickets are available at our ticket desk and can be purchased as a stand-alone experience or as an Add On to your science mall visit.○

Wetland Tours

Connect with nature and embark on a guided exploration of our wetlands, led by our knowledgeable team. Learn about our outdoor spaces, including the floating wetlands and canting basin, and see what wildlife you can spot!

Make the most of your day out and enjoy our new summer menu at the café and coffee shop in the IMAX Theatre foyer.

Indulge in a fantastic range of options including hot meals, light bites, sandwiches, kid's meals, and a mouthwatering selection of refreshing drinks, cakes and pastries.
