Science Lates - Forces of Change

Celebrate British Science Week with us at Science Lates: Forces of Change, a dynamic night of discovery, drinks, and hands-on fun.

Alongside hundreds of interactive exhibits, there will plenty of exciting workshops and activities to dive into throughout the night:

  • Investigate Newton's three laws of motion with demonstrations using balloons, rockets, and even a bed of nails in our Fantastic Forces Science Show!

  • Challenge yourself with a lively game of Brain Bingo, where you can test your mind and motor skills, or team up with the Living Lab crew to guess the mystery chocolate bar just by its MRI scan!

  • Join the University of Glasgow and get hands-on with fun experiments and activities to discover how scientists use mechanical, magnetic and electrical forces to guide stem cells into becoming bone, muscle, or even nerve cells.

  • Get your brain buzzing with the team from Meet Me in Govan as they lead activities around cognitive mapping and its role in memory and learning.

  • Can you take off safely, navigate around mountains and over seas bringing your plane back down gently to rapturous applause from your passengers? Take to the virtual skies with our mobile flight simulator taster sessions and find out!

  • Sit back, relax and look up in absolute wonder! Join us in The Planetarium for our presenter-led tour of the stars before being whisked away on a trip to the solar system and the galaxy beyond.

Plus, there will be delicious food and drinks, including special themed cocktails to keep the fun flowing!

It’s the perfect night out with friends.
